The final conference of InterMareC will be held in Kiel on the 11-12-2007 with the participation of the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein Peter Harry Carstensen and the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship Jan Kozlowski.

Fouesnant, a meeting entitled «How to develop activities in a coastal area? An example of cooperation between the Atlantic and the Baltic regions?» was held in Fouesnant (Britanny) on June 14th.
The aim of the meeting was :
to present InterMareC and the subprojects undertaken under component 4 « Coastal activities » to local authorities and partners to exchange about the results achieved, the new programming period 2007/2013 and the stand Britanny is going to take in this period to gather partners in order to discuss about future possible cooperation.

KIEL Interregional Maritime Cluster Meeting, this meeting aimed at organizing:
- thematic workshops related to InterMareC topics and enabling partners to account for they achieved within subprojects
- a « Jour Fixe » entitled Interregional cooperation: How to attract companies to invest on partnerships and cluster-cooperation?” and gathering actors of the maritime sector to discuss about the incentive of cooperation (organised separately by the Maritime Cluster Schleswig-Holstein)
- a first transnational of potential partners (including Germany, Poland, Finland and France) for EU-cooperation project within INTERREG IVB BSR (organized separately in cooperation with the Ministry of European Affairs Schleswig-Holstein)
During these two days, a poster session dedicated to the different interregional activities was opened to public.

In the partner region Schleswig-Holstein the first regional sub-project meeting took place with almost all sub-project participants of InterMareC. Beside a 1-day exhibition of InterMareC in the “House of Economy”, each sub-project of InterMareC was presented across the 3 thematic fields.

InterMareC took successfully part in the Oceanology International 06/ London, the world largest exhibition for maritime technology. Actions during the OI 06 were the 2nd International Brokerage Event of MariMatch, meeting of the Executive Board of InterMareC, sub-projects meetings and the collection of a number of interesting international contacts.

In 20 days InterMareC will be present on the Oceanology International 06 in London presenting the 2nd International Brokerage Event of MariMatch. Beside the documentation of the strategy of InterMareC, the fair should be use to improve the marketing and communication of the Interregional Maritime Cluster to external regions outside the 3 partner regions.

The successful sub-project MariMatch, which was approved in the first application round, submitted a follow-up proposal. It is focusing on the arrangement of additional International Brokerage Event for Maritime Technologies on fairs and conferences in Brittany, Poland and Germany 2006 and 2007.

Within the third call for sub-projects the RFO-Partners received additional 4 proposals. This will be evaluated until the Steering Committee meeting in March in order to be able to start optional on April 1st.

The RFO-Partners announce a limited budget for a third call for sub-projects within InterMareC. The deadline for submission an application form are requested until the 30th of January 2006. The templates could be downloaded in the download area of this page.

Since the beginning of January 2006 the 3 reporting periode have been started. In connection with the implemantation process of the 9 new sub-project of the second call we establish internal area on the InterMareC web page. In case you are participant of InterMareC please ask you regional Cluster Consultant or Thematic Coordinator for the specific login.

Third call: After the proceeding of the first (2004) and second (2005) application round only very limited budgets are available for new sub-projects. These funding will be awarded on the base of completely filled application forms submitted until 30th of January 2006.

After the negotiation of details of the sub-projects the operational work of the sub-projects of the second call started. Therewith 65 sub-project participants of SME, larger enterprises, institutions and public authorities are involved in 16 sub-projects of the Regional Framework Operation InterMareC.

The Conference and Exhibition event InWaterTec 2005 in Kiel from 31st of Aug – 02nd Sep 2005/ Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein was used as platform for several activities of InterMareC participants. Therefore, MariMatch - the first brokerage event for maritime technologies as one of the sub-projects of InterMareC arranged 41 first face-to-face contacts during the InWaterTec. The new sub-project PI-ICZMnet scheduled their kick-off event on the 31st of Aug. 2005 in Kiel and ImpulseC has made a first interregional meeting for detailed discussion. The sub-project participants from France of the sub-project Offshore Development Network uses the opportunity to meet several enterprises in Schleswig-Holstein.

On the 12-07-2005 the second Steering Committee meeting of InterMareC was held in Brussels. The main objective of the meeting was the decision about the 18 submitted sub-project application forms. Finally, 11 sub-project of the 2. call resulting in a sum of investment of 1,15 Mio. EUR have been approved.

The German Cluster Consultants invited the German applicants of recommended Letters of Intent of the first & second call together with the German Thematic Coordinators to a meeting at the schiff-gmbh, Kiel. The meeting gave information concerning to the strategy of InterMareC, the selection criteria and what are the present actions. In addition, the meeting had the intention to give the opportunity to ask detailed question and to present their sub-project ideas. With respect to the deadline for the application forms on the 06-06-2005, further information concerning the improvement of the recommended Letters of Intent should be provided until the 18-05-2003.

For the 20th & 21st of May a 2-day meeting of the Thematic Coordinators and Cluster Consultants are scheduled in Gdansk. Objective of the meeting is the detailed discussion of all remaining Letters of Intent and to agree on the next the steps of supporting the potential applicants. Applicants are requested to provide the Thematic Coordinators and Cluster Consultants further information until the meeting.

With respect to the procedure of matching, which needs more time to improve the quality of a number of sub-project ideas, the deadline for the sub-projects application forms has been postponed from 09th of May to the 06th of June 2005. Consequently, the InterMareC Steering Committee will decide about the applications on 12th of July in Brussels and the sub-projects could optional start on 01st of August 2005.

Within the second application round, the deadline for the submission of new Letter of Intent (LOI) was on February 28th. In addition to the existing 52 LOI submitted already within the first application round, 13 new LOIs have been submitted. 6 LOIs are coming from Bretagne, 5 from Schleswig-Holstein and 2 from Pomorskie.
In total 68 ideas of cooperation between the 3 regions have been presented to the persons in charge of InterMareC until the first call in September 2004.

During the first Steering Committee meeting of InterMareC in Kiel on Dec. 13th the first 3 sub-projects have been approved within the first application round; 2 proposals have been rejected, because of technical reasons.
The approved sub-projects are titled (1) “Maritime matchmaking and co-operation forum” leaded by Business Development and Technology Transfer Corporation of Schleswig-Holstein/ WT|SH, Germany, (2) „Offshore industry development” leaded by Technopole Brest-Iroise, France and (3) “Modularisation in ship equipment” leaded by Ship Design & Research Centre S.A., Poland.
The high number of qualified project ideas from the first call, which are unconsidered will be improved and takes part in the second application round automatically. Approved sub-projects of the 2. call should start at the beginning of July 2005.
